The Physical Therapist I (PTI) evaluates, treats, and manages patients with physical limitations and medical conditions under the supervision of clinical leadership. Using evidence-based techniques, the PTI prescribes and implements treatment plans to help patients achieve their maximum functional potential. The PTI collaborates with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, contributes to continuous improvement initiatives, and aligns their practice with the Hospital's goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct objective evaluations to assess patients' physical and medical conditions. Develop and implement individualized treatment programs to optimize patient function. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to achieve patient-centered goals and outcomes. Actively participate in service, department, and hospital improvement projects to enhance patient care. Uphold and operationalize the goals and objectives of the Hospital within the care setting.
Competencies:
The ideal candidate demonstrates competency in: Patient evaluation and evidence-based treatment implementation. Age-appropriate communication with patients, families, and team members. Data collection, analysis, and clinical decision-making for patient care. Team collaboration and leadership within a healthcare setting.
Education and Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program. Licensure by the State of Maryland Board of Physical Therapy Examiners. Current AHA Health Care Provider CPR certification.
Skills:
Proficient in patient evaluation, treatment techniques, and clinical decision-making. Effective communication and interpersonal skills across age groups.
Work Experience:
Successful completion of required clinical internships during academic training. Pediatrics experience required
Salary Range:
Minimum $37.02/hour - Maximum $61.11/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
