1 Description American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a Home Health assignment, requiring home health experience and a valid Michigan PT license. Details Home health setting covering Van Buren, Calhoun, and Kalamazoo Counties Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00am-5:00pm, full-time 40 hours per week Weekend rotation required approximately every 4-6 weeks No on-call requirement No floating requirement Documentation completed in the electronic health record per compliance timelines Requirements Valid Michigan PT license required (license required if applicable) BLS certification (AHA) required Home health experience required Minimum 1 year of recent experience required Current Michigan driver's license required Availability of a personal vehicle for daily business use required Proof of auto insurance required for consideration Additional Information Responsibilities include evaluating, planning, and administering physical therapy treatment for patients with injuries or muscle, nerve, joint, and bone conditions Duties include interpreting referrals, conducting standardized assessments, and establishing functional baselines to track patient progress Participates in interdisciplinary team discussions, rounds, and clinics Provides patient, family, and community education on treatment plans May design and fabricate splints and other assistive devices May cross-train and provide coverage in other departments within Rehabilitation Services as needed Serves as a subject matter resource and may provide in-services within the Rehabilitation System Proof of flu vaccination required, with exemption requests submitted within 48 hours of signing Local candidates accepted at the same rate with no radius restrictions Previous internal travelers may return after 6 months; previous permanent staff may return after 1 year RTO limited to no more than 10 days Travelers are prioritized for floating assignments when needed
