Key Qualifications:

Valid Michigan Physical Therapist (PT) license Prior experience working in schools, with familiarity addressing a range of disabilities Comfort working onsite in a collaborative environment Ability to effectively manage a full-time schedule of 35 hours per week during the school year Experience with K-26 populations, preferably in a center-based program Strong communication and adaptability skills PTA experience is not applicable for this role

Responsibilities:

Deliver direct physical therapy services to students in accordance with IEP goals Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized treatment plans Provide documentation and progress reports consistent with school and district requirements Offer coaching and consultation for staff and families to maximize student participation Engage in ongoing professional development to remain current with best practices Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment for students with diverse abilities This contract position runs from August 24, 2026 through June 10, 2027, offering the stability of a full academic year placement.
