Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students' health and mobility needs within a collaborative educational setting near Lakeville, MN. This contract position is designed for a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapist eager to make a positive impact on young learners' lives. You'll work alongside dedicated educators and allied professionals to support student development and foster greater independence.
Qualifications and Experience:
Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program Current state licensure (or eligibility) as a Physical Therapist Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric therapeutic environment preferred Ability to create and adapt individualized treatment plans Strong communication skills to collaborate with teachers, families, and other specialists Organizational excellence; adept at managing caseloads and documentation efficiently
Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments to determine students' functional levels and identify areas for intervention Develop and implement treatment plans aimed at enhancing students' mobility, coordination, and participation in academic programs Provide direct physical therapy services and monitor progress to support educational goals Train and advise staff, teachers, and parents on techniques that can be incorporated into daily routines Complete required documentation timely and accurately, maintaining compliance with school and regulatory standards Engage actively in team meetings and contribute to the Individualized Education Program (IEP) process This position offers the flexibility and professional autonomy of contract work amidst a supportive school atmosphere.
