Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract A contract position is available for a Physical Therapist skilled in schools, located in University, MS. This role primarily supports students within the educational setting, providing therapeutic interventions to enhance their physical abilities and promote their success in school activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for students. Implement therapeutic interventions to improve mobility, strength, and functional skills. Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and other healthcare professionals to monitor progress and adjust therapy plans accordingly. Document therapy sessions and progress reports accurately and in a timely manner. Attend team meetings and participate in the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) as required.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Licensed Physical Therapist with experience in school-based settings. Strong knowledge of pediatric physical therapy, with the ability to tailor interventions to meet children's developmental needs. Effective communication and teamwork skills to work collaboratively with school staff and families. Ability to manage multiple cases while maintaining meticulous documentation. Experience with IEP processes and educational environments is preferred.
