Qualifications and Experience Graduate of an accredited PT School State of North Carolina Therapy License Required or a transferable state license Comfortable using email, internet applications, and practice management software Strong customer orientation Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Responsibilities include but are not limited to, the following Patient Care Typically Therapist will see about 11 patients per 8-hour day Conducts evaluations including reviewing patients' medical histories, testing and measuring strength, range of motion, balance and coordination, posture, muscle performance, respiration, and motor function Prepares treatment plans describing a strategy, purpose, goals, and anticipated outcome Administers manual techniques and applies modalities/physical agents Evaluates effects of treatment at various stages and adjusts treatments to achieve maximum benefit conferring with physician and other practitioners when appropriate Teaches patients to use assistive and adaptive devices. Instruct patients on at-home exercises Records evaluations, daily treatment notes, progress notes, discharge, summaries, and charges timely, legibly, and in compliance with applicable requirements Discharges patients from therapy when goals or projected outcomes have been attained and provides or facilitates appropriate follow-up care Communication Demonstrates effective written, verbal, non-verbal, and electronic communication skills Listens to and acknowledges the concerns of patients and co-workers. Communicates effectively with patients and co-workers, constructively exchanging information and opinions. Treats all others with respect Exercises good judgment in communication with regard to confidentiality, timing, circumstances, place, and person Problem Solving/Judgment Makes effective decisions that reflect clear and logical thinking Demonstrates flexibility in examining new approaches in response to changing organizational objectives Identifies and works proactively to solve problems Time Management Effectively prioritizes tasks based on clinic demands to complete assignments within designated timeframes with little to no supervision Time and Attendance Is punctual for shift.
