Alamance Regional Medical Center is looking for a Full-Time Outpatient Physical Therapist to join our hospital-based Neuro Rehab team. In this position, you will provide individualized, one-on-one care to adult outpatients in a modern, well-equipped clinic. Enjoy dedicated 45-minute treatment sessions with no aides or techs-allowing you to focus entirely on delivering exceptional, evidence-based care and building meaningful patient relationships. This position manages a caseload consisting primarily of patients with neurological diagnoses, including Stroke, Parkinson's disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Vestibular/balance disorders, Traumatic Brain Injury, and other complex neurological conditions. The caseload also includes a sprinkling of orthopedic patients to provide variety and support the needs of the clinic. You'll be part of an experienced interdisciplinary team known for outstanding patient outcomes, high employee engagement, and strong professional support. Hours:
Mon-Thurs 9 hours (8-545) and Friday 4 hours (8-12) The Physical Therapist II evaluates patients' conditions, develops personalized treatment plans, and implements therapeutic interventions to optimize functional abilities. This position is able to effectively and efficiently treat all patients in their clinical practice setting and complete all physical therapy job functions with minimal guidance. This position initiates communication amongst inter-disciplinary team members, treats familiar patients with confidence, and advocates for their patients and team. This role requires independent practice in the primary setting and may require mentoring/guidance in complex situations and may have difficulty with cross coverage to other settings.
Essential Job Function:
Evaluates and treats all diagnoses and more complex patients. Conducts thorough evaluations of patients' physical abilities, medical history, and functional limitations to develop individualized treatment plans. Administers therapeutic exercises and other physical therapy interventions to improve patients' strength, flexibility, and range of motion. Educates patients and their families on treatment plans, home exercises, and self-management techniques to improve recovery outcomes. Collaborates with others in developing and implementing discharge plans and recommendations for continued care. Monitors and documents patients' progress, treatment outcomes, and responses to interventions so that treatment plans can be adjusted as needed. Collaborates on teams from different departments to ensure coordinated patient care and holistic treatment outcomes. Assists with orientation and training of new staff, demonstrates an ongoing commitment to improve the performance and skill of co-workers. Performs other duties as assigned.
