Job Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Pelvic Health Physical Therapist, where you will play a vital role in improving patients' quality of life through specialized pelvic health rehabilitation. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse patient populations, including those in outpatient clinics, hospitals, and home health settings. Your expertise will help develop personalized treatment plans, facilitate patient recovery, and collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver exceptional care. Responsibilities Assess patients' pelvic health conditions, including incontinence, pelvic pain, postpartum recovery, and other related issues. Develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs, utilizing evidence-based practices and current physiotherapy standards. Implement therapeutic interventions such as manual therapy, trigger point therapy, and patient education to promote optimal recovery. Coordinate discharge planning and ensure seamless transitions between inpatient, outpatient, home health, and community care settings. Maintain accurate clinical documentation according to healthcare standards and manage electronic health records (EHR) or electronic medical records (EMR) systems efficiently. Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals such as physicians, urologists, gynecologists, neurologists, and other specialists to optimize patient outcomes. Engage in patient care activities that include working with geriatric patients, pediatric populations, and individuals with neurological or orthopedic conditions affecting pelvic health. Qualifications Valid license or certification as a licensed physical therapist with practicing credentials in your region. Proven experience in outpatient rehabilitation centers or hospital inpatient units with a focus on pelvic health or related physiotherapy fields. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and clinical documentation standards relevant to pelvic health therapy. Experience working with diverse patient populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, neurology cases, orthopedics, and home & community care environments. Familiarity with discharge planning processes and working within electronic health records (EHR/EMR) systems for accurate documentation. Ability to communicate effectively with patients and multidisciplinary teams to develop treatment plans and ensure comprehensive care. Additional skills such as acute care experience, outpatient clinic experience, trigger point therapy expertise, and knowledge of inpatient hospital procedures are highly valued.
