UNC Therapy Services' orthopedics team is seeking a full-time physical therapist to join our high performing team. Our clinic provides one-on-one therapy sessions and cares for patients of all ages, addressing a wide range of musculoskeletal injuries, dysfunctions, and post-surgical needs. Applicants must be able to deliver high-quality care for sports injuries, strength and conditioning, injury prevention, and active aging. Our patients span from recreational to professional levels of fitness, so experience with a diverse population is preferred.
Summary:
The Physical Therapist I provides evidence-based evaluation, treatment interventions, and educational instruction to patients and caregivers with various diagnoses, disabilities, and impairments affecting multiple body regions, structures, systems, functional mobility, and activity participation. The clinician provides student shadowing, clinical instruction, and participates in departmental and community continuing education and outreach.Responsibilities:
1. Completes physical therapy documentation, billing, and statistics per team guidelines. Manage daily caseload with efficiency and efficacy. Meets productivity standards per team guidelines. 2. Administers tests and measures to assist in establishing a plan of care and interventions and manages resources to accomplish patient goals; Communicates relevant information to promote continuity of care. 3. Mentors assistive personnel and delegates responsibilities as per licensing board guidelines. 4. Provides clinical precepting and teaching for students and/or staff under the guidance of the clinical specialist or other subject matter experts. Provides regular feedback, coaching and mentoring. Evaluates the learner's performance. 5. Assists in the planning and coordinating of clinical programs in collaboration with the clinical specialist or manager. Participates in continuous improvement in clinical services by attending and participating in departmental meetings and in-services.Other Information Other information:
Education Requirements:
• Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program.Licensure/Certification Requirements:
• Licensed as a Physical Therapist in the state of North Carolina. • BLS within 3 months of hire date.Professional Experience Requirements:
• No prior experience required.Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:
• Exhibits effective communication and interprofessional skills; requires physical stamina and repetitive movements, including, but not limited to, sitting, standing, kneeling, walking, and squatting during patient interventions while supporting one's weight; can engage in high-level problem-solving to ensure patient safety during mobilization.Job Details Legal Employer:
