Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Make an immediate impact in a dynamic educational setting as a Physical Therapist working directly with students in a supportive, collaborative environment. This school-based contract opportunity runs from August 2026 through early June 2027, offering the chance to make a difference in students' lives while refining your clinical skills. You'll be working on campus, partnering with teachers and other professionals to develop and implement strategies that help students achieve their fullest potential physically and academically.
Qualifications:
Valid North Carolina Physical Therapy License (must be active at the start of the contract) Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy Previous school-based or pediatric physical therapy experience preferred Solid understanding of delivering therapy services in a school environment Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, with a passion for working with children and diverse teams Comfortable providing on-site support and intervention services Familiarity with ECATS and Infinite Campus platforms is highly regarded
Responsibilities:
Deliver direct physical therapy services to students in accordance with their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and document progress Collaborate closely with educators, families, and other specialists to facilitate student success Participate in IEP meetings and share your expertise as part of a multidisciplinary team Maintain records and reports as required by district and state guidelines, utilizing ECATS and Infinite Campus systems Support school staff with adaptations and best practices for inclusive classroom environments This contract offers full-time hours within a welcoming school community and allows you to develop meaningful connections with students and colleagues.
