Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into an enriching role as a contract school-based Physical Therapist serving an engaging and diverse student population. This assignment involves supporting students across multiple grade levels in a dynamic educational setting. Your expertise will contribute to both summer (ESY) and academic year programming, providing crucial services that support students' growth and mobility needs.
Key Details:
Term:
ESY program runs from July 8, 2026, to July 30, 2026, Monday-Thursday, 8:00am-12:30pm; Full-time position from August 13, 2026, through May 28, 2027.
Weekly Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00am-3:30pm, totaling about 35 hours per week during the academic year.
Caseload:
Collaborate within a PT/PTA team managing approximately 50 students. The role requires traveling between various school sites (with efforts to schedule schools in close proximity). Approved mileage expenses are reimbursed.
Schools:
Assignments include students from all grade levels across several locations.
Qualifications:
Current Physical Therapist license is required. Previous experience in a school setting, especially Early Intervention, is highly valued. TPBA certification (for PreK evaluations) is a distinct advantage, though not mandatory. PTs working with Pre-K students must complete a fingerprinting process prior to starting. Reliable transportation and flexibility for inter-campus travel.
Responsibilities:
Deliver physical therapy services tailored to individual student needs. Participate in assessments and evaluations, including those for Pre-K students. Maintain consistent documentation and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. Communicate professionally with parents, teachers, and staff regarding student progress.
