Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding, part-time contract opportunity supporting students in a school-based setting near Wake Forest, NC. This position begins August 5 and runs through May 28, with the chance to make a meaningful impact throughout the full academic year. As a key provider in the educational team, you will work directly with a diverse caseload of K-12 students, helping them achieve their fullest potential.
Essential Qualifications:
Current licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) for the state Previous experience in a school-based setting or with pediatric populations preferred Strong collaboration, communication, and documentation skills Ability to provide therapy services in-person to meet school standards and compliance Commitment to supporting students with a range of disabilities or physical needs Reliable, organized, and flexible mindset for adapting to evolving student requirements
Core Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized and group physical therapy to a caseload of 7 students (details shared in interview) Contribute to student Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), set measurable therapy goals, and monitor progress Communicate regularly with special education staff, teachers, and families to ensure seamless coordination of student care Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state and school policies Educate staff and caregivers about mobility, access, and adaptive techniques when needed Participate in relevant school meetings and professional development activities This part-time, in-person role is a wonderful chance to bring your expertise to a supportive environment while enjoying a predictable school schedule.
