Job Description

Where You'll Work CHI St. Alexius Health Turtle Lake is a 25 bed critical access hospital with a Level V Emergency Department that is available 24 hours a day. Our hospital has been committed to providing patients quality medical treatment in the Turtle Lake area and surrounding communities since 1952. Through the years, the hospital has sought to continually upgrade the quality and numbers of services it provides. The hospital's affiliation with major medical centers and health care agencies has allowed it to expand its health care services through a network that begins at the local level. CHI St. Alexius Health Turtle Lake is equipped with 2 emergency rooms, on-site lab, radiology, CT and physical therapy services. Our patients have access to 24/7 emergency care, swing-bed programs, and acute care services. Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Physical Therapist, you will organize and conduct medically prescribed therapy programs. Every day you will help patients reach their maximum performance while learning to live within their capabilities. To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, excellent customer service, contributing to a positive patient care experience.
Patient Evaluation & Rehabilitation:
Evaluates patients, designs, implements, and progresses rehabilitation programs, including clear home exercise plans
Documentation & Billing Accuracy:
Ensures timely, complete, and accurate patient notes, certifications, and treatment instructions, adhering to QI criteria and reflecting services provided for billing
Patient Education & Satisfaction:
Clearly explains injury/condition, treatment purpose, and rehabilitation goals to clients, ensuring their understanding and satisfaction with departmental care
Workload Management & Efficiency:
Demonstrates ability to manage heavy caseloads by improving personal efficiency, working extended hours when necessary, and assisting colleagues
Program Development & Referrals:
Develops new programs and collaborates with physicians to stimulate referrals, enhance relationships, and improve care quality
Leadership & Departmental Oversight:
Supervises students, teaches classes, provides public speaking, manages the department in the absence of a manager/staff PT, resolves departmental conflicts, and completes assigned reports Job Requirements Required Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy Licensed or eligible for licensure by the North Dakota State Examining Committee of Physical Therapists
