Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a full-time contract opportunity as a Physical Therapist, providing expert care and support to students in grades K-12 on a maternity leave coverage assignment. This role, set to run from September 8, 2026, through February 19 or 28, 2027, ensures consistent, high-quality therapy services for the student community near East Hanover, NJ. Qualifications and Experience:
Current license to practice Physical Therapy Previous experience in school-based or pediatric PT settings preferred Strong knowledge of best practices in physical therapy for children and adolescents Excellent communication skills for working with students, families, and faculty Comfortable providing therapy across a wide range of ages and needs (K-12) Ability to maintain thorough documentation and contribute to IEP processes
Responsibilities:
Deliver direct PT services to support student mobility, safety, and participation in school activities Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans Collaborate closely with educators, special education teams, and families to promote student goals Document session notes and progress accurately in a timely manner Contribute to IEP meetings and related documentation as needed Adapt therapy approaches to support inclusion and accessibility in the school setting This contract assignment offers an excellent way to build valuable school-based experience, work with motivated multidisciplinary teams, and make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and young people.
