Qualifications & Experience:
Valid Physical Therapist license in the state of New Jersey Previous experience in school-based or pediatric physical therapy strongly preferred Knowledge of IEP processes, documentation, and school compliance standards Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams Enthusiasm for engaging students in therapy sessions that promote participation and progress
Key Responsibilities:
Perform thorough assessments to evaluate students' physical therapy needs Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student goals and IEPs Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress Maintain detailed and accurate records, ensuring compliance with district and state regulations Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the planning process Provide direct therapy services, consultations, and staff training as needed Help gather details on student progress and program effectiveness for team reviews This contract role offers an inspiring chance to contribute to students' educational journeys while also strengthening your own expertise in school-based therapy.
