Job Summary:
Balanced Physical Therapy + Wellness is looking for a full-time Physical Therapist to join our Orthopedic focused team in an atmosphere that fosters learning and camaraderie. Fun and vibrant family practice environment, emphasizing compassionate patient care! As a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), you will play a vital role in helping patients improve their physical health, mobility, and overall quality of life. You will assess, diagnose, and develop personalized treatment plans to address movement dysfunctions caused by injury, illness, or aging. You will work closely with patients to set achievable rehabilitation goals, educate them on preventative care, and support their journey to recovery.
Job Responsibilities:
Patient Evaluation & Diagnosis:
Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations to access physical conditions, limitations, and pain. Collaborate with patients to establish personalized treatment goals aimed at improving mobility, strength, and functionality.
Treatment Planning & Implementation:
Design and implement individualized treatment plans using a combination of manual therapy, biofeedback, therapeutic exercises, and patient education. Monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed. Educate patients on injury prevention, exercises, and home care strategies.
Collaboration & Communication:
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care. Provide clear communication with patients and their families regarding treatment plans, progress, and expected outcomes.
Patient Education & Support:
Offer guidance Provide resources for continuing pelvic health care, including at-home exercises and self-care practices.
Documentation & Compliance:
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with clinic policies and state regulations. Ensure documentation reflects patients' treatment plans, progress, and follow-up needs.
Required Qualifications:
Doctorate in Physical Therapy | Bachelor's Degree from an Accredited Program Current Physical Therapy license for the state of New Mexico Previous experience in physical therapy, rehabilitation, or other related field Possess and enhances up-to-date knowledge of treatment practices Ability to handle physical workload Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with patients Ability to demonstrate compassion and empathy for patients Demonstrates a "servitude" attitude Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong time management skills as to manage daily case load Strong leadership qualities Basic computer skills Perform related duties as required
