Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a skilled Physical Therapist, supporting PreK and elementary students throughout the 2026/2027 school year. This role is ideal for professionals passionate about making a positive impact in educational environments, offering a consistent 30-hour week across a flexible four-day schedule. Spend two days each week in Albuquerque and two days in Santa Fe, building strong relationships with school teams and students.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist. Previous experience in school-based or pediatric physical therapy strongly preferred. Familiarity with the unique needs of PreK and elementary-age students. Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams. Ability to develop and deliver individualized therapy plans. Reliable transportation for travel between locations.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide physical therapy services to PreK and elementary students, promoting mobility, motor skills, and independence. Conduct assessments, develop Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals, and document progress. Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to implement supportive classroom strategies and ensure continuity of care. Participate in IEP meetings, offering expert input and recommendations. Maintain detailed records in compliance with regulatory and district standards.
