Qualifications:
Current NM state (NMRLD) Physical Therapy license required by the start date NMPED certification (may be in pending status at the time of hire) Experience in a school setting is preferred, but open to enthusiastic new graduates Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach Passion for empowering students to achieve their physical and educational goals
Responsibilities:
Deliver physical therapy services in accordance with students' Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Assess, plan, and implement therapy interventions across a reasonable and manageable caseload Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support each student's development Maintain thorough documentation and participate in IEP meetings Offer expertise regarding physical development to educational staff and caregivers Caseload ages can be discussed in the interview to match your professional interests
