Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting PreK and elementary students for the 2026-2027 school year. This position offers the chance to make a meaningful difference by working across two communities, providing your expertise as a Physical Therapist in educational settings. Your assignment spans from August 3, 2026, to June 4, 2027, with a consistent schedule of 30 hours each week—four days per week split between two locations. Spend two days each week working with students in Albuquerque and two days in Santa Fe, collaborating closely with educators, families, and school-based teams.
Qualifications and Experience:
Active Physical Therapist license required Proven experience working in a school setting, especially with PreK and elementary students Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation Ability to evaluate and treat a wide range of physical and developmental needs Comfortable traveling between locations (travel reimbursed) Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments for students referred for PT services Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans in accordance with IEPs Provide direct therapy to support student access to curriculum and school environment Consult and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families Maintain detailed records and participate in IEP meetings Adapt therapeutic activities to the unique needs of each child This contract role allows you to focus your expertise in both Albuquerque and Santa Fe while enjoying a predictable four-day workweek.
