1 Description American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an outpatient position requiring at least 1 year of outpatient experience and an active NM license prior to start. Details Outpatient physical therapy setting Day shift, 5 days x 8 hours per day (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM) 13-week contract Patient population includes general outpatient, injured workers, and work hardening/functional capacity cases Requirements Minimum 1 year of experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting Active New Mexico (NM) PT license required prior to start date; proof of pending licensure accepted License required if applicable Current BLS certification required Additional Information Responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients via physician referral or direct access, establishing plans of care, and supervising PTAs and PT technicians Experience with or willingness to learn injured worker cases, ACOMP systems, and Return to Work planning Role includes performing post-offer employment testing (e.g., Work
STEPS, APET
), Work Hardening Evaluations, Functional Capacity Evaluations, and ergonomic/job analyses Administrative duties include scheduling, answering phones, taking referrals, and applying appropriate billing codes Regular communication with referring physicians and rehab nursing staff is expected Candidates are expected to assist with business development and marketing to referral sources when patient load allows All time off and scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration First-time travelers are welcome to apply
