We are seeking to engage a Physical Therapist in a school-based supportive setting to provide services on an as-needed basis. We staff several schools for Speech, PT & OT in Arizona, Nevada, North Carolina and South Carolina, you'll be part of a dynamic team. Current caseload is only a few students. New evaluations in are likely as new students with needs are identified. Two-hour minimum paid for on-site visits. Four-hour flat rate for evals, report writing is remote. Perfect for someone looking to pick up a few extra hours and become better known in the community at area schools. You will meet students, parents, administrators and teachers, excellent for networking! This is an Independent Contractor position (not an employee). Professional Responsibility:
You are the school's Physical Therapist with its natural set of typical duties attendant to the role. Adherence to state law and rules governing the practice of your license and federal law and rules governing IEPs and 504 Plans is mandatory. Work as part of the Individualized Education Program (IEP) team to evaluate students, develop treatment plans, and implement interventions to address areas like strength, mobility, coordination, and balance.
Implementing Therapy Plans:
Carry out therapy sessions with students targeting specific therapy goals. Complete Evaluations, Plan of Care and relevant documentation: Must be able to complete evaluations on a pediatric population, develop a plan of care in a school or clinic setting and maintain relevant documentation.
Monitoring Progress:
Help track and document students' progress during therapy sessions
Providing Classroom Support:
Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to implement strategies that facilitate skills within the classroom environment.
Supporting Home Practice:
Work with students and their family to ensure that therapy goals are reinforced through activities at home.
Record Keeping and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of evaluations, therapy sessions, progress reports, and other necessary documentation. Required Current, active state license Able to pass a background check and fingerprint clearance to work in an educational setting Must have own laptop Must have the ability to implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the facility Maintains professional working relationships with all team members Able to take feedback from colleagues, administrators, teachers, and parents Pediatric experience is preferred.
