We are looking to train positive, motivated individuals who want to do meaningful work, assisting people diagnosed with intellectual/developmental disabilities in reaching their goals. Join us and train for an entry-level career in the healthcare/education field! Our Physical Therapist will provide therapy services to children in a transdisciplinary environment. Therapy focuses on assisting children in maximizing their level of function in their gross motor development. These services are provided in a developmentally appropriate play-based classroom. Specifically, you will:
  • Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations, including standardized gross motor, orthopedic, and neurological assessments to determine students' functional needs and establish therapy goals.
  • Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized physical therapy interventions, using therapeutic exercises, manual techniques, facilitation, ambulation training, and adaptive strategies to support students in the educational environment.
  • Collaborate with families, educators, and interdisciplinary teams to integrate therapy into classroom routines, develop IEPs, participate in CPSE meetings, and recommend environmental adaptations and assistive devices.
  • Monitor, document, and communicate student progress through daily documentation, quarterly progress notes, annual reviews, and ongoing reassessment to guide treatment planning.
  • Maintain a safe, effective therapy program by preparing treatment areas, training families in the use of orthotic and support devices, attending professional development, and ensuring high-quality, evidence-based practice.
We require:
Master's Degree in Physical Therapy, having graduated from a Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) approved program.
