Physical Therapist (PT)

Physical Therapist (PT) Liberty POST (formerly Island Therapies) is currently seeking a motivated and energetic Early Childhood Physical Therapist (PT) to work with children who are birth-5 years old through Early Intervention and Preschool Special Education programs. Immediate positions are available in the sensory gym at our office in Hauppauge. Backed by Liberty Resources Inc. and part of a large social services circle, originally POST was a speech-language practice in Syracuse NY and has grown to provide a range of services throughout all of New York State and New Jersey. We employ over 500 professionals in a variety of settings and offer a collaborative team approach to provide evaluation, direct therapy, and family education through child-directed play. We are focused on the importance of a child's natural learning environment, a family's unique strengths and needs and the diverse population we serve.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Monitor and track child's progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
• Record information on treatment and progress in a timely manner using Electronic Medical Record system.
• Effectively organize and maintain confidentially of child's records and other documentations.
• Conduct physical therapy sessions for children with various diagnoses (ex: ASD, dyspraxia, gross motor delay, etc.) in our sensory gym in Hauppauge.
• Follow all state laws and regulations as it pertains to Early Intervention, CPSE/CSE special education.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience:

• Licensed Physical Therapist in the State of New York required.
• A minimum of two years of experience working with children is preferred.
• Knowledge of MS Word and comfortable with working with computers and databases
• A valid driver's license and proof of car insurance.

Part-time Pay Rates:

Office/Clinic Based (EI/CPSE): starting $27.50 for 30-minute session

Home/Community Based EI:
