Job Description

22 miles east of New York City (Only
QUALIFIED
Healthcare Professionals accepted) Physical Therapist - Physical Therapist — Outpatient Pain Management & Musculoskeletal Care New Hyde Park, NY An outpatient pain management practice in New Hyde Park, New York is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist to join its growing team. The practice offers physical therapy and acupuncture services alongside pain management care, with patients referred internally to PT and acupuncture. The role offers a true 1-on-1 patient care model with clinician-led treatment decisions; the practice takes a hands-off approach to clinical care, with leadership staying involved to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and patient volume goals without micromanaging how therapists treat patients. The patient population ranges from ages 30 to 80, primarily musculoskeletal care including joint pain, low back pain, and neck pain. The practice's goal is 50 patients per day split between two PTs (approximately 25 per therapist); the current solo PT is seeing about 40|day, and this hire will help split that caseload going forward. The new hire will work alongside 1 existing
PT, 1 PT
aide, and 2 front desk staff, in a team-oriented, collaborative environment where therapists communicate closely to keep patient flow organized from front desk to treatment. This is a full-time-only position with a fixed schedule, five days per week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday), no weekends. Hours are Monday and Wednesday 11 AM-7 PM, and Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 9 AM-5 PM (7.5-hour shifts including a 30-minute break). Compensation is hourly at $50-$55|hr, though the practice is considering a shift to salary, which would range $100K-$120K depending on experience (new grad vs. experienced). There is no sign-on bonus or relocation assistance, and no formal productivity bonus structure, but leadership is described as generous with raises and bonuses when patient volume goals are met. Benefits include 10 PTO days (usable as sick, personal, or vacation) after a 90-day probation period, 6 paid federal holidays, and 401(k) eligibility after one year. Candidates need an active PT license; no minimum years of experience are required, and new grads are welcome. No additional certifications are needed. The ideal candidate is a collaborative team player and strong communicator who works well within a structured front-desk-to-treatment flow. Top selling points include significant room for growth, a hands-off|autonomous clinical environment, and a generous ownership team that rewards therapists as volume goals are met. The interview process begins with a full phone|video interview, followed by an in-person interview at the New Hyde Park office with the practice's leadership and office manager. Additional job details will be shared separately with candidates who move forward.
