Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role supporting students in a full-time Physical Therapy position within a vibrant school environment just outside Poughkeepsie, NY. As a contract Physical Therapist, you'll be integral to empowering children and adolescents to achieve their physical goals and enhance their participation in school life. Work alongside dedicated educators and allied health professionals who share your passion for student success.
Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid Physical Therapy (PT) license in New York Experience in school-based settings or pediatric populations preferred Ability to design and implement individualized therapy plans and interventions Strong collaboration skills with teachers, staff, parents, and other therapists Clear communication, documentation, and progress monitoring abilities Adaptability and creativity to address diverse student needs
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver evidence-based physical therapy services to students as part of an interdisciplinary team Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and set meaningful goals for each student Collaborate with teachers and parents to integrate therapeutic activities into the classroom Monitor student progress, provide timely reports, and adjust interventions as needed Participate in IEP meetings, contribute to educational planning, and share expert recommendations Support inclusion and student participation within the school community This opportunity provides an engaging platform for professional and personal growth, with access to a supportive team and a dynamic workday that offers variety and impact.
