Full-time Job Summary :
An established primary care and multi-specialty medical practice is seeking an experienced full time Physical Therapist (40 hours/week) to be an integral part of our team. This candidate should have the ability to work a flexible schedule. This position is for our specialty office, located in Ridgewood, NY. The candidate will play a vital role in improving patients' mobility, relieving pain, and enhancing their overall quality of life. You will evaluate, plan, and administer individualized treatment programs to help patients recover from injuries, manage chronic conditions, and achieve optimal physical function. We are committed to delivering high-quality care by leveraging innovative approaches and fostering a compassionate environment for our patients.Key Responsibilities :
Evaluate patients to determine their physical therapy needs and establish realistic treatment goals. Develop and implement personalized therapy plans using a variety of techniques, including exercises, manual therapy, balance therapy, pelvic floor incontinence, and specialized equipment. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve desired outcomes. Educate patients and their families about exercises, injury prevention, and self-care strategies to maintain progress outside therapy sessions. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care. Document patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress in compliance with DocCare's standards and legal requirements. Stay updated with advancements in physical therapy practices and participate in continuous education. Other related duties as assigned.Education:
Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program required. Minimum 5 years experience required.Minimum Requirements:
Valid New York State Physical Therapist license required. Strong knowledge of rehabilitation techniques, exercise prescription, and patient education necessary. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented healthcare environment needed.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Balance Therapy and Pelvic floor incontinence strongly preferred. Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree, or pursuing DPT preferred.Job Type:
