Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a full-time Physical Therapist supporting K-12 students in a school setting near Valatie, NY. This position offers a chance to make a positive difference in the lives of young learners while meeting 450 compensatory hours, with the assignment running ASAP through June 26 and potential work available during the summer.
Key Qualifications:
Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) with active state credentials Experience or strong interest in school-based therapy services Comfortable providing services for students from kindergarten through high school Ability to manage a diverse caseload and adapt to varying student needs Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with educators, families, and support staff Flexibility to work a full-time school schedule and help meet compensatory service requirements
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver physical therapy interventions to students individually or in small groups as prescribed in their IEPs Assess and document student progress, updating goals in collaboration with educational teams Provide direct support to staff and families on strategies for promoting student mobility and participation Develop individualized treatment plans and participate in IEP meetings Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of services delivered, ensuring all compensatory hours are met Adapt interventions and materials to support student engagement
