Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Pediatric Physical Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pediatric therapy, particularly with children who have complex medical needs. This role involves assessing, developing, and implementing individualized treatment plans to improve mobility, strength, and overall function for our patients, while closely collaborating with physiatrists and other healthcare professionals. The therapist will provide treatment for 10-12 patients per day, ranging in age from 0 to 21 years.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough assessments of children with severe medical disabilities to identify physical therapy needs. Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans based on assessment results, goals, and family input. Provide treatment for 10-12 patients daily, addressing a wide range of physical therapy needs for children and young adults aged 0-21. Collaborate with physiatrists to coordinate care, discuss patient progress, and refine treatment approaches. Use evidence-based practices to provide therapeutic interventions aimed at enhancing physical abilities, mobility, and independence. Work alongside a multidisciplinary team, including occupational therapists, speech therapists, and medical professionals, to ensure comprehensive care. Educate families and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and strategies to support their child's development at home. Document patient progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards. Stay current with best practices and advancements in pediatric physical therapy through continuing education and professional development. Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and training sessions to share knowledge and enhance team effectiveness.
Qualifications Education Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree and/or Master's/or Doctorate in Physical Therapy Valid New York State license to practice physical therapy. Must maintain license in good standing. Valid NPI Number Experience Experience working with pediatric patients, especially those with severe disabilities and complex medical conditions.
Hourly Rate Range:
$43.59/Hr. To $48.72/Hr.
