Responsibilities Evaluate patients using standardized tests to identify impairments and functional limitations Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based plans of care Provide manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and neuromuscular re-education interventions Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and injury prevention Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries in EMR systems Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other rehab professionals on care plans Track functional outcomes and adjust treatment based on patient response Supervise and direct PTAs and support staff as allowed by state practice acts Maintain compliance with state licensure, payer requirements, and clinic policies Participate in professional development and quality improvement initiatives Required Skills Orthopedic and musculoskeletal assessment Manual therapy techniques Therapeutic exercise prescription Neuromuscular re-education Functional movement and gait training Outpatient plan of care development EMR documentation and clinical reporting Patient and family education Pain management strategies Knowledge of payer and documentation requirements (Medicare, commercial)
