Physical Therapist 3.4 3.4 out of 5 stars Springboro, OH Full-time Miami Valley Hospital 497 reviews Full-time Miami Valley Hospital Physical Therapist (Outpatient) Springboro, OH - Full-Time | Sign-On bonus available Come work in a supportive environment, with 1-hour initial assessments and 45-minute 1-on-1 follow-ups The Physical Therapist provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment for Sports Medicine and Pelvic Health patients, depending on the service area. The therapist meets productivity standards and satisfactorily completes and maintains all required documentation. The Physical Therapist assumes a dynamic leadership role on the interdisciplinary patient care teams. This individual identifies patient care needs, develops a plan of care and goals in collaboration with the patient, provides a wide variety of treatment techniques within the scope of practice, provides education and support to patients/families, and facilitates continuing care planning. The therapist participates in staff management, cost management, and professional practice activities. The therapist is responsible for demonstrating excellent customer service and contributing to the overall effectiveness of the department. Essential Duties & Functions Evaluates, treats, documents, delegates, and discharges patients per service guidelines. Engages in interdisciplinary patient care management. Bills appropriately for services and supplies provided as indicated through matching of documentation and service charges. Provides oversight of Physical Therapist Assistants. Provides patient/family education. Participates in programs/service performance improvement activities. Manages case load per department standards. Engages in patient satisfaction efforts and looks for opportunities to ensure that all patients have a satisfying experience. Passes all required hospital/department competencies and related testing; applies to everyday performance. Education Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program Licensure/ Certification / Registration Current Physical Therapy license in State of Ohio (new graduates welcomed) BLS certification within 30-days of hire
Experience Minimum Level of Experience Required:
No prior job-related work experience Preferred experience: 1-3 years of job-related experience. Knowledge/Skills Able to multi-task with constant interruptions while maintaining a pleasant demeanor. Dependable, flexible and adaptable to change. Teamwork oriented. Display tact, diplomacy, and professionalism. Strong analytical, prioritization, and organizational skills. Effective oral and written communication skills. Maintain a high degree of confidentiality. Basic computer knowledge and skills.
