Job Description

Review and evaluate outpatients referred by physicians (this position also includes Inpatient hours) Perform diagnostic tests, measurements, and evaluations; develop personalized care plans with short- and long-term goals Communicate treatment needs to patients and families, fostering cooperation and engagement Provide home treatment instructions when needed Administer therapeutic techniques (e.g., exercise, Dry needling, IASTM, moist heat, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, massage) to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability Educate patients in the use of braces, canes, crutches, or prosthetic devices Record evaluations, progress notes, and outcomes in medical records Collaborate actively with the healthcare team to coordinate care Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants, Athletic Trainers, PT Aides, students, and volunteers Participate in training programs and assist with special projects Step into leadership when needed, supervising the Rehab Department in the absence of the Director or Clinical Lead Stay current on advances in Physical Therapy through continuing education and professional development Demonstrate Memorial's core values: Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Excellence, and Service Commitment to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care Strong communication skills with patients, families, and team members Dedication to ongoing learning and professional growth Ability to lead and mentor others within the Rehab Department Adherence to ethical standards and compliance requirements Consistent, reliable attendance Completion of mandatory training, health requirements, and in-services (team training, safety, infection control, etc.) Compliance with hospital and departmental Ethics and Compliance programs, including promptly reporting variances through the proper channels
