Desired Experience & Skills:
Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist Previous experience in educational settings or pediatrics is highly desirable Strong communication skills for collaborating with teachers, parents, and student services teams Ability to design and implement appropriate therapy interventions tailored to the unique needs of school-age children Familiarity with documentation and progress tracking in compliance with school and state regulations
Role Responsibilities:
Provide evidence-based physical therapy services to students with diverse needs in a school environment Conduct evaluations to assess students' motor functions and develop individualized treatment plans Coordinate and consult with teaching staff and parents to ensure effective support for each student Attend eligibility and IEP meetings when needed, offering professional insights regarding students' physical development and therapy goals Document progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to the multidisciplinary team's approach to student care Educate school personnel on strategies and accommodations to facilitate student participation in daily school activities This rewarding contract position—two days per week—offers dedicated professionals the flexibility to maintain work-life balance while making a lasting difference for children.
