MK Therapy Services (MKTS) is a small, established therapy company that has been providing school-based therapy services to school districts for more than 13 years . We are committed to providing quality, professional, and effective therapy services while building strong relationships with students, families, and school teams. We are currently seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) to provide school-based services 2 days per week in an elementary school setting . This position will primarily support students in a Life Skills classroom , working closely with teachers, paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families to support students' mobility, functional skills, safety, and participation throughout the school day. What You'll Be Doing Provide direct and indirect physical therapy services in accordance with students' IEPs. Evaluate students and complete physical therapy assessments. Prepare clear and comprehensive written evaluation reports. Develop functional and measurable PT goals and objectives. Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings. Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, paraprofessionals, administrators, related service providers, and families.

Address functional areas including:

Gross motor development Mobility and ambulation Balance and coordination Strength, endurance, and postural control Transfers and positioning Functional movement within the school environment Safety and accessibility Provide recommendations and support related to positioning, mobility equipment, adaptive equipment, and other physical supports as appropriate. Consult with classroom staff regarding strategies to safely and effectively support students throughout the school day. Provide training and support to teachers, paraprofessionals, and families as appropriate. Maintain accurate and timely documentation. Follow all applicable school district, state, and professional standards. Who We're Looking For The ideal candidate is professional, dependable, collaborative, and passionate about working with children . Experience working in a Life Skills or similar special education classroom is highly valued. Qualifications Doctorate or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program. Current Pennsylvania Physical Therapist license Pediatric and/or school-based PT experience preferred. Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary school team.

Pay:

$60.00 - $65.00 per hour
