Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a key role supporting student growth by bringing your physical therapy expertise to schools in the Newtown area and beyond. This contract position spans the 2026-2027 academic year—including summer services—offering a meaningful opportunity to impact the lives of children across Bucks, Carbon, or Lehigh County. With a schedule of 3-4 days per week (approximately 21-28 hours), you'll join a collaborative team approach focused on maximizing each child's independence and participation in the school setting.
Desired Qualifications:
Active physical therapy licensure meeting state requirements At least one year of direct experience in a preschool or early intervention school environment Commitment to in-person service delivery only (no remote options available) Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with students, families, and school team members Reliable transportation for travel across the Newtown coverage area and, on occasion,
Morrisville/Pennsbury Key Responsibilities:
Deliver physical therapy interventions according to each student's individualized education plan (IEP) Assess and document student needs, progress, and recommendations in compliance with state and local guidelines Collaborate closely with educators, school staff, and families to promote positive outcomes for students Travel between assigned schools within Bucks County, with possible assignments in Carbon or Lehigh County Contribute to related service meetings and support extended services through summer 2027 This role provides flexibility with 3-4 day workweeks, and compensation will be discussed if selected for an interview.
