Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity to support students as a Physical Therapist during the Extended School Year (ESY) program. This contracted role is perfect for professionals passionate about making a meaningful difference in educational settings, with a summer schedule running from June 29th through July 30th. Work Monday through Thursday, 8:15 AM to 12:30 PM, across two school sites in the Upper Merion and Lansdale areas, seamlessly blending work with summer plans.
Qualifications and Experience:
Active licensure as a Physical Therapist in Pennsylvania Previous experience in school-based physical therapy or pediatric settings preferred Strong ability to collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams Excellent organizational and communication skills Flexibility in working across two school locations Commitment to empowering students through therapeutic intervention and support
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct physical therapy services to students participating in ESY, following IEP goals and district guidelines Conduct assessments, develop intervention plans, and document student progress Collaborate with teachers, educational staff, and families to support holistic student development Adapt therapy activities and strategies to meet the diverse needs of students in group and individual settings Travel between assigned school sites as needed within the program hours This contract position offers a unique way for Physical Therapists to utilize their skills in a collaborative school environment while still enjoying flexibility during the summer.
