Physical Therapist Renovo, PA 1 DAYS AGO 22619682 Summary Renovo, PA In-Person $56.25 - $68.00 per Hour 2 Years Experience Master's degree No Commission 40.00 hours per week / Day Shift / Full-Time Description About us: At Bucktail Medical Center, a Critical Access Hospital in the heart of the Pennsylvania Wilds, we are dedicated to providing high-quality healthcare to our community and the surrounding area. Our 12-bed facility specializes in swing bed and acute care rehabilitation services. We also provide one-on-one outpatient therapy to a diverse population ranging from pediatric to geriatric. We utilize a hands-on, educational, and exercise-based approach to every patient. We are seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) to join our team and contribute to our mission of improving patient outcomes and enhancing the quality of life for those we serve.
Position Overview:
As a Physical Therapist at Bucktail Medical Center, you will work in a dynamic and flexible environment across inpatient, outpatient, and swing bed settings. Your role includes evaluating patients, developing care plans, providing personalized treatment, and supervising up to two Physical Therapist Assistants. You'll play an integral role in improving the quality of life for patients recovering from surgery, injury, or illness.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate and assess patients' physical conditions and develop individualized treatment plans. Deliver physical therapy treatments to help patients improve mobility, reduce pain, and restore function. Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, self-care techniques, and injury prevention strategies. Daily documentation and maintenance of accurate patient records via NetHealth, including progress notes and treatment updates. Supervise one or more Certified Physical Therapist Assistants Modify treatment plans based on patient progress and responses to therapy. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated patient care. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and professional standards, in addition to hospital policies, for all aspects of patient care and documentation. Use therapeutic exercises, modalities, and equipment appropriately and safely. Participate in quality improvement initiatives. Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with clinical protocols and safety standards.
Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution; Doctorate preferred. Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in Pennsylvania with preference given to Direct Access candidates. Prior experience in a critical access hospital, swing bed setting, or outpatient clinic. Strong clinical reasoning skills and a commitment to individualized patient care. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team. Comfortable with adapting to varied caseloads and creative treatment approaches. Familiarity with NetHealth EHR and Trubridge EHR. Requires standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the shift. Adaptable to scheduling changes and with providing creative treatment approaches. Must be able to lift, transfer, and assist patients as needed. Understanding of complex medical conditions and the ability to communicate them clearly to patients and families. Pay Range:
