Job Description

Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a dynamic school-based Physical Therapy opportunity designed for professionals who thrive in a collaborative, student-centered environment. Work with K-12 students across multiple sites in an itinerant capacity, helping young learners build the mobility and confidence they need to succeed in the classroom and beyond. This contract position offers steady, full-time hours for the entire academic year, providing consistency for both you and your students.
Key Qualifications:
Active South Carolina Physical Therapist license required Prior experience working with school-aged children (K-12) preferred Strong organizational skills for managing caseloads across multiple school locations Exceptional communication abilities to collaborate with teachers, families, and other support staff Adaptability and a positive approach to diverse student needs
Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized and group physical therapy services to K-12 students in accordance with IEP goals Assess and document students' physical therapy needs and progress; Consult with educators and staff to support student participation in school activities Travel between designated school sites as part of the itinerant assignment Maintain accurate records and contribute to IEP meetings as needed Foster an encouraging and inclusive atmosphere for student development This is an onsite-only role with a weekly commitment of 37.5 hours, running from late July through late May.
