Job Description

Category Therapy - Hospital - PT Job Type Travel Providing specialized physical therapy services in an outpatient hospital setting, this role focuses on evaluating and treating patients to help them achieve their recovery goals and safely return to community activities. Utilizing clinical expertise, the therapist develops, implements, and adjusts treatment plans aligned with physician directives and patient needs. The position emphasizes collaboration, patient and employee safety, and professional growth within a values-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and formulate individualized treatment plans aimed at progressing patients toward discharge within established timeframes. Direct and delegate therapy services across disciplines for assigned patients to ensure integrated, effective care. Maintain thorough, accurate, and timely medical documentation including progress notes, quality indicators, letters of medical necessity, and charge entries according to clinic standards and regulatory guidelines. Serve as an educator and mentor for patients, families, students, and colleagues, fostering a positive learning environment and contributing to student development. Uphold organizational mission and core values by promoting safety, ethical conduct, confidentiality, and compliance with professional standards. Actively participate in continuous professional development and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and service delivery. Adhere to state practice acts, maintain licensure, and fulfill continuing education requirements relevant to physical therapy.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
Licensed Physical Therapist with applicable state credentials and current licensure. Experience in outpatient hospital therapy settings preferred. Strong clinical reasoning and documentation skills. Commitment to safety protocols and ability to manage interdisciplinary therapy teams. Ability to teach, mentor, and work collaboratively with diverse healthcare professionals. Demonstrated professionalism and ethical practice aligned with industry standards.
