School Physical Therapist | Mesquite, Texas BlazerJobs - 3.6 Mesquite, TX Job Details Full-time | Contract 1 hour ago Qualifications Physical Therapy License Full Job Description Make an impact supporting student growth and wellness in a dynamic educational setting as a Physical Therapist for a busy K-12 school district. This contract opportunity runs from November through February, covering a maternity leave, and offers full-time hours at 37.5 per week. As an itinerant therapist, you'll travel between multiple campuses, collaborating with educators and families to deliver therapy services that enable students to thrive physically and academically.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
Active Texas PT license required Strongly prefer prior experience in a school-based environment Comfortable working with children and adolescents (K-12) Ability to travel between multiple school sites Adaptable and able to support diverse student needs Must complete TEA fingerprinting unless recently done for another TX public school district Ability to provide references from the two most recent supervisors
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate, develop, and implement intervention plans for students with physical therapy needs Deliver direct therapy services to help students access their educational programs Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers and families Maintain accurate records and contribute to IEP meetings Travel to assigned campuses as an itinerant therapist Support students with a variety of physical abilities, ensuring inclusive participation in school activities
