In this role, you will provide specialized physical therapy services focused on pelvic health conditions, including bowel and bladder dysfunction, sexual dysfunction, pelvic pain, pregnancy and postpartum recovery, and other related issues. We do see men and LGBTQ patients at this office. Your expertise will help patients regain function, reduce discomfort, and improve their quality of life through personalized treatment plans. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with pelvic health concerns, including evaluating physiology and anatomy relevant to pelvic function. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices such as trigger point therapy, patient education, and therapeutic exercises. Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals across disciplines to ensure holistic patient care and effective discharge planning. Manage patient progress through meticulous clinical documentation standards using electronic health records (EHR) systems and EMR systems. Educate patients on their conditions, treatment options, and self-management strategies to promote long-term health benefits. Assist with outpatient clinic operations by participating in care plan development and ensuring adherence to clinical documentation standards. Requirements Valid state licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist with practicing in a physical therapy role. Valid BLS as required by Texas law Preferred level 1 Pelvic Floor course work completed Proven experience in outpatient rehabilitation centers or outpatient clinics with a focus on pelvic health or related fields such as orthopedics or neurology. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and patient care techniques specific to pelvic health. Experience working with geriatric patients and familiarity with home & community care settings is highly desirable. Ability to develop treatment plans that incorporate discharge planning and patient rehabilitation strategies for diverse populations. Proficiency in clinical documentation standards and electronic health records (EHR) management for accurate record keeping. Prior inpatient or hospital experience is a plus; familiarity with inpatient care protocols is beneficial. Excellent client communication skills to effectively educate and motivate patients throughout their recovery journey. Knowledge of physiotherapy techniques including trigger point therapy and other manual therapy methods tailored for pelvic conditions.
