As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your primary responsibility will be to enhance patients' quality of life through tailored rehabilitation strategies, encompassing prevention, assessment, treatment, and rehabilitative care. About the Organization Located in the vibrant community of Alexandria, VA, the Innovative Movement Rehab & Wellness Center is a premier outpatient physical therapy practice specializing in orthopedic care. Our state-of-the-art facility encompasses over 5,000 square feet, designed specifically for sports medicine and rehabilitation. Our team consists of experienced licensed physical therapists and skilled physical therapy assistants, all committed to delivering exceptional, patient-centered care. By utilizing advanced therapeutic techniques and technologies, we aim to provide the highest level of service to our patients. Work Environment This full-time position requires you to work onsite within our dynamic rehabilitation facility. The work setting is designed to foster teamwork and collaboration among rehabilitation professionals. You will be supported by two fellow physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant, working together to ensure optimal patient outcomes. We operate from Monday to Friday, with standard working hours from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life environment. Key Responsibilities Efficiently assess and address each patient's unique objectives and needs to create individualized treatment plans. Manage a focused caseload of patients, averaging one patient every hour, ensuring that each receives comprehensive, high-quality care. Implement cost-effective treatment strategies aimed at improving patient range of motion, mobility, and overall physical performance. Utilize evidence-based approaches to minimize reliance on medications and promote non-surgical alternatives for pain management. Develop and execute customized fitness and wellness programs tailored to the specific requirements of each patient. Provide continuous motivation and support to patients, encouraging them to achieve their fullest functional potential throughout their rehabilitation journey. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to deliver holistic patient care. Thoroughly document treatment sessions, ensuring all patient care services are recorded accurately and promptly. Patient Population / Client Focus Our outpatient facility primarily serves a diverse patient population under private medical insurance, including individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgical procedures, and chronic conditions affecting musculoskeletal function. The focus is on delivering personalized care to help patients regain independence, restore mobility, and enhance their overall health and wellness. Qualifications Must possess a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program. A valid Physical Therapist license issued by the state of Virginia. Maintain a clean professional record with no disciplinary actions against licensure. Demonstrable expertise in manual therapy techniques that enhance treatment effectiveness. Exceptional aptitude in creating and implementing effective exercise and rehabilitation protocols tailored to individual patient needs. Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, specifically WebPT, for seamless documentation and patient management. Preferred Experience Experience working in an orthopedic outpatient setting, ideally with a focus on sports medicine. Proficiency working in fast-paced environments with a strong ability to manage multiple patient needs. A record of contributing to a positive patient experience and achieving favorable rehabilitation outcomes. Compensation and Benefits This role offers a competitive salary within the range of
USD 80,000
to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
