Health offers an opportunity to join a dynamic physical therapy team working across a variety of medical and surgical units. We are looking for candidates who are open to working flexible schedules if needed and are excited to develop and work with a team of motivated therapists. UVA Health offers many opportunities to work as a multi-disciplinary team to provide the best patient care and experience. How does this role contribute to patient care? These roles focus on helping patients recover from injuries, illnesses, or surgeries and improve their physical, emotional, and functional well-being. The work involves assessing, planning, and providing therapeutic interventions to enhance patients' abilities to perform daily activities and achieve their rehabilitation goals. These roles are responsible for improving patient mobility, strength, and function through exercise, manual therapy, and education. Physical therapists work with patients recovering from injuries or surgeries, those with chronic conditions, or those seeking to enhance physical performance and reduce pain. What would I do in this role? As a Physical Therapist with UVA Health, you would expect to; perform physical therapy examinations according to professional standards and departmental policy demonstrate knowledge of intervention options and executes a program of skilled physical therapy intervention actively participate in professional growth of self and others. actively participate in quality improvement and program development In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Bachelor's degree in
Physical Therapy Experience:
No experience required.
Licensure:
Licensed to practice in Physical Therapy in the Commonwealth of Virginia. New grads must be licensed within 6 months of hire. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping/traveling. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 20 - 50lbs. May be exposed to blood/body fluids and infectious disease. The pay range for this role is $36.73 - $58.77 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
