Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Physical Therapist license in Virginia (or eligibility for licensure) Experience working with pediatrics, particularly in school-based settings, is highly valued Strong communication skills to work effectively with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams Collaborative mindset with an ability to adapt to diverse student needs Passion for fostering inclusive, supportive learning environments
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students Deliver physical therapy services to support mobility, gross motor skills, and access to the school curriculum Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings Consult with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure coordinated care and advocacy for student needs Educate students and faculty on mobility concepts, adaptive equipment, and physical wellness
