ATC Healthcare Services Position Overview ATC Healthcare is seeking experienced Physical Therapists (PTs) for per diem opportunities within Sentara Health facilities. This role is ideal for clinicians who are passionate about helping patients regain mobility, improve functional independence, and achieve their rehabilitation goals across a variety of care settings. Key Responsibilities Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans Provide therapeutic interventions to improve strength, mobility, balance, coordination, and functional abilities Assess patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed Educate patients, families, and caregivers on exercises, treatment goals, and injury prevention Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and other healthcare professionals Document evaluations, treatments, progress notes, and discharge summaries in accordance with facility standards Ensure compliance with all regulatory, ethical, and professional practice guidelines Promote patient safety and maximize functional outcomes Requirements Active Physical Therapist (PT) license (state-specific) Minimum 1-2 years of recent physical therapy experience preferred Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program Current BLS certification (if required by facility) Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with interdisciplinary teams Schedule & Assignment Details Per diem / PRN shifts (days, weekends, and holidays as needed) Flexible scheduling based on facility needs and clinician availability Opportunities available across multiple Sentara Health locations Why ATC Healthcare?
