Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Make an impact supporting students' growth and mobility in an engaging school-based contract role for the 2026-2027 academic year. This onsite Physical Therapist opportunity offers the chance to work 2-3 days per week, collaborating closely with dedicated educators and staff to foster positive outcomes for children. Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid Physical Therapy license for the state of Virginia (or ability to obtain before start date) Previous experience providing pediatric PT services in a school or educational setting preferred Strong understanding of IEP process and documentation requirements Effective communication skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams Ability to adapt therapy strategies to a diverse student population and wide range of needs
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver onsite evaluations and therapeutic interventions for students (Pre-K through high school) Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans in collaboration with educators and related professionals Participate in IEP meetings, providing input and progress updates for assigned students Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with school and district policies Educate families, teachers, and staff on carryover activities and strategies to maximize student success in and out of the classroom Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and supportive school environment This contract position provides the flexibility of a part-time schedule (2-3 days/week) throughout the full school year, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance while making a difference.
