Physical Therapist Job Description This outpatient orthopedic practice seeks an experienced, collaborative, and energetic Physical Therapist who is committed to delivering high-quality, one-on-one patient care and exceptional customer service. The clinic has been serving the Williamsburg community for over 15 years and emphasizes a team-based approach to care, with strong communication between therapists and referring providers. Each therapist treats patients individually for 45-minute sessions, ensuring focused, personalized treatment that supports recovery and long-term wellness. Responsibilities Provide high-quality outpatient orthopedic physical therapy services to a diverse patient population. Conduct thorough evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient goals. Deliver one-on-one patient care in 45-minute sessions, ensuring focused, personalized treatment. Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and document care accurately and in a timely manner. Communicate proactively and effectively with referring providers to support a team-based approach to patient care. Educate patients on their condition, treatment plan, home exercises, and strategies to support long-term function and wellness. Collaborate with in-house fitness professionals to help patients transition from rehabilitation to broader fitness and wellness goals. Provide exceptional customer service and contribute to a positive, supportive clinic environment. Participate in ongoing professional development to maintain and enhance clinical skills in orthopedic and outpatient care. Essential Skills Current state licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in the State of Virginia (VA). Experience providing physical therapy services in an outpatient or orthopedic setting. Ability to perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans. Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and referring providers. Commitment to delivering one-on-one, patient-centered care with a focus on quality and outcomes. Organizational and time-management skills to manage a schedule of 45-minute individual sessions. Preference for candidates with 3+ years of physical therapy experience. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy is highly desirable. Interest in collaborating with fitness and wellness professionals to support patients beyond traditional rehabilitation. Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented clinical environment. Strong customer service mindset and a desire to build long-term patient relationships. Enthusiasm for contributing to community wellness initiatives in a coastal, university-rich region. Work Environment The role is based in a thriving outpatient orthopedic clinic that has served the Williamsburg and broader Hampton Roads/Tidewater area for more than 15 years. Therapists work in a setting that emphasizes one-on-one, 45-minute sessions, allowing ample time for personalized care and thorough treatment. The clinic maintains timely and open communication with referring providers, fostering a collaborative, team-based approach to patient care. An in-house partnership with a personal fitness service supports a seamless transition from rehabilitation to broader fitness and wellness goals. The surrounding community is a well-known coastal region with a strong military presence and a concentration of local universities, colleges, and trade schools, contributing to a dynamic and educated population. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Williamsburg, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $950000.00/yr.
