As a full-time physical therapist, you will engage with a diverse patient population, addressing various needs ranging from post-surgical recovery to rehabilitation injuries. The workweek typically comprises 40 hours, with variable weekends to accommodate patient schedules. Key Responsibilities Your responsibilities will include: Conducting thorough evaluations of patients' physical capabilities to develop appropriate treatment plans. Monitoring patient progress and modifying treatment approaches based on patient feedback and clinical outcomes. Collaborating with healthcare providers and interdisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive patient care. Maintaining accurate documentation of treatment protocols, patient interactions, and progress notes, adhering to all applicable regulations. Educating patients and their families regarding treatment processes and expected outcomes, empowering them in their recovery journeys. Participating in professional development activities, including staff meetings, continuing education, and community outreach initiatives. Patient Population / Client Focus In your role, you will work primarily with adult patients experiencing orthopedic issues, neurological complications, and sports injuries. Your ability to connect with individuals from varied cultural backgrounds will enhance our service delivery and support a holistic approach to rehabilitation. We emphasize treating the whole person, not just their physical ailments, ensuring that mental and emotional health are also prioritized. Qualifications To successfully perform the duties of this position, you will need the following qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required. A valid State License in Physical Therapy to practice in Virginia. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and team members. Proficiency in electronic documentation systems and basic computer skills to manage patient records efficiently. Preferred Experience While a minimum of two years of clinical experience is required, candidates with experience in outpatient physical therapy settings focusing on rehabilitation and injury prevention are preferred. Familiarity with evidence-based practice and a commitment to continued education will be highly regarded. Compensation and Benefits Honor Physical Therapy offers a competitive annual salary ranging from
USD 100,000
to 120,000, commensurate with experience and education.
