Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract A fulfilling opportunity awaits an experienced Physical Therapist seeking a dynamic role for the 2026/2027 academic year. This full-time contract position supports a thriving educational community near Woodstock, VT, working directly with both elementary and high school students. You will collaborate with educators and families to deliver meaningful physical therapy interventions that help students reach their full potential.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
Active licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) in Vermont or eligible for reciprocity Prior experience in a school-based setting or strong interest in pediatric therapy Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to manage a diverse caseload across elementary and high school populations
Key Responsibilities:
Assess students' physical and functional abilities to support their participation in the school environment Develop targeted treatment plans that address students' unique needs, focusing on mobility, motor skills, and independence Participate on IEP teams, contributing expertise in goal setting and progress monitoring Provide direct therapy, interventions, and consultative support to students and classroom staff Engage families, educators, and other specialists to ensure coordinated care Track service delivery and maintain timely, accurate documentation per district and regulatory standards
