Performance Physical Therapist (DPT) Empower Physical Therapy | Bellingham, WA Join a Clinic Built Around Quality Care, Performance, and Community Empower Physical Therapy is a growing, performance-based private practice dedicated to helping Bellingham's active community move, perform, and live at their highest level. We're looking for an independent, performance-minded Physical Therapist who is passionate about fitness, strength training, and providing exceptional one-on-one patient care. If you're the type of clinician who enjoys solving complex movement problems, values hands-on treatment, and believes exercise is medicine, we'd love to meet you. What Makes Empower Different Every patient receives 60-minute, one-on-one treatment sessions with their physical therapist. We prioritize quality of care over high patient volume. Our practice specializes in fitness-minded, performance physical therapy for active adults and athletes. We foster autonomy, professional growth, and clinical excellence in a collaborative, low-pressure environment. As a small, growing practice, you'll have the opportunity to help shape the future of the clinic while building a caseload alongside us. Who You Are The ideal candidate is: Licensed (or eligible for licensure) as a Physical Therapist in Washington. Passionate about strength training, fitness, and helping active individuals return to doing what they love. Experienced in, or committed to developing expertise in, manual therapy. Comfortable prescribing and coaching progressive resistance training. Self-motivated, independent, and excited to work in a small private practice. Professional, personable, and committed to delivering an exceptional patient experience. Responsibilities Evaluate and treat patients using evidence-based physical therapy. Develop individualized treatment plans that integrate manual therapy with progressive strength training. Educate and empower patients to take ownership of their recovery and long-term performance. Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with referring providers. Contribute to a positive clinic culture centered on continuous learning and outstanding patient care. Compensation & Benefits This is a part-time employee position with the opportunity to grow into a full-time role as the practice expands. Compensation is commission-based, with therapists earning 45-55% of collected visit revenue , depending on experience and tenure with the company. Our average reimbursement is approximately $120 per visit , allowing your earning potential to grow alongside your caseload.
Employee benefits include:
Accrued paid sick time Washington State unemployment coverage Labor & Industries (L&I) coverage Continuing education reimbursement on a case-by-case basis Who You'll Thrive Here With This position is ideal for someone who trains regularly, enjoys being in the gym, and wants to practice physical therapy in a way that aligns with an active lifestyle rather than a traditional high-volume outpatient model. We're looking for someone who believes physical therapy should bridge the gap between rehabilitation and performance—not simply reduce pain. If you enjoy working with active adults, recreational athletes, and strength-focused clients in a clinic that values time, relationships, and individualized care, you'll fit right in. If you're excited about building your career in a growing practice that's committed to serving Bellingham's active community through exceptional performance physical therapy, we'd love to hear from you.
