Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Looking for a fulfilling part-time opportunity making a real difference in students' lives? This contract position is perfect for a dedicated Physical Therapist who enjoys working in a school-based environment. You'll have the chance to support students' physical development and participate as a valued collaborative team member, all while maintaining a flexible work-life balance. This role requires just around one day per week—Wednesdays are preferred, but we can be flexible to fit your schedule.
Key qualifications and experience:
Licensed Physical Therapist with current credentials to practice in the state Direct experience providing physical therapy services to children and adolescents—particularly within a school setting is a plus Strong communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable working alongside teachers, staff, and families Ability to assess, plan, and deliver individualized interventions tailored to each student's needs Documentation proficiency, including maintaining compliance with all relevant IEP and federal/state requirements Your responsibilities will include: Conducting thorough physical therapy evaluations and writing clear, actionable reports Collaborating as part of a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement IEP goals Delivering tailored PT interventions to support student access and participation in the educational environment Training school staff and caregivers on recommendations or use of adaptive equipment and strategies Monitoring student progress and participating in IEP meetings as needed This engaging position offers dependable, part-time hours with the flexibility to suit your life, the chance to have a local impact, and professional growth through collaborative teamwork.
